Hi, I'm new to the forum! I've had a DM-2 for years but other than that, never became too immersed in effects. However, I've recently become very interested thanks in no small part to bossarea.com! Brilliant site man! Anyway, I've just bought a CS-2 and am close to buying a HR-2.
The question is, if you could only have 6 BOSS Compact pedals (not including tuner) for every day use, what would they be?? |

| That's a tough one, if they're only for everyday use. I guess I'd say OD1, BD2, PH1, VB2, DC2, DD2. That's not too far off from my live pedal board anyway, which only has five pedals on it at any one time. |

Well, the question is - can they be modded? I'll make a list and "mod" some of them just in case that would be allowed :)
Yeah, maybe I should say - I play bass.
OC-2 DS-1 (bass mod by www.stinkfoot.se) SD-1 (bass mod by www.stinkfoot.se) CE-2 VB-2 TR-2 (unity gain mod by www.stinkfoot.se)
If I could "cheat" a bit I'd probably want to throw a D*D Bi-fet Preamp first in that line, but maybe the infamous FA-1 would work just as well...?

hmmm... for guitar, my six would be: PQ-4 SD-1 (MIJ or pro modded only) PS-2 (or PS-3) HF-2 PH-1r (or PH-2) CE-2 (or DC-3) I don't (yet) own the PH-2 or PS-3, and the DC-3 might be too subtle.
this list also assumes that I'm plugging into a high-gain amp, like a Marshall JCM-series or a Mesa vs. a Fender Twin Reverb. if I'm plugging into a single-channel 'clean' amp like the Fender, I'd probably swap out the phaser for a MT-2 (not my fave distortion pedal, but very versatile tone-wise).
