Order some more parts for the pedals while youre on it (I did so) you never know when you need for example the rubber rings for the battery screw etc. You can always sell parts later to folks at this forum.
$4 is more than I expected. I think I paid less than $2 when I ordered one in the UK about a month ago. I will have to order another one though as they sent me the wrong type.
ei guys, im new here at the forum. i have a question: i just acquired a boss SD-1 super overdrive. i was surprised when i saw small screws at the side of the level and drive knobs. its funtion is to make sure that the knobs won't get easily remover from the pots. its similar to some volume and tone knobs of some guitar. so far, i've owned and sold more than 70 boss pedals and this is the first i saw this kind of knobs. is it rare? thanks
In Sweden Roland have good prices, I paid about $1 for knobs, about $2 for switches. Internationally Boss/Roland has a bad reputation fr their lousy support, but that isnt true for Scandinavia. Fender on the other hand......
In Czech Republic are made the same knobs as boss do. One cost half an euro (15 Czech Crowns). It's very cheap. You can see it there: http://www.ezk.cz/knofliky.htm (S8859) and buy at mail ezk@ezk.cz !!!
That's very cool. 0.5 Euros is about $0.5. I don't know how it would work with payments to the Check Republic. If they accept paypal, it would be real easy. Anything else would probably end up costing much more than the knobs.
I just swaped the tone and dist knobs from my DS-1 and put them on my CE-2, I figured that since i'm sending the DS-1 to Keeley for mods that I'd just swap them out now.
I think the knobs with set screws were used on all the early pedals. Not sure when they started using knobs without the screw but it could have been around 1980-1981.
