Can anyone say, for purposes of debugging pedals (wink) how much should one pay for a used scope and or a signal generator?
Would a college auction be a good place? How about eBay? With so much being digital, maybe there is a soft market for this kind of "old tech" testing equipment???
There seem to be some nice DMMs with built in oscilloscopes now. I don't know how functional these are but surely they must be OK for pedal problem solving. Sadly, all the nice looking Tektronixes, etc seem to go for well over 100.00 on ebay UK.

Can you give us some examples of the handheld oscilloscopes? Have you or anyone else had a chance to look at it?
When the Piano Tech came to tune my piano, he had this cool tuning software on his 'ancient' PalmIII. It 'learned' how to tune my piano and would calculate how much overtightening the tech had to do to tune it. He was done in 45minutes!...
I wonder if there's any possibility of that kind of sw for a PC and or ... what is out there?
