i am wondering if this is the same thing as a switch (a/b)used to switch between two loops..i know i tsays that it switches th order of two pedals, but can it be used as a loop switcher also

im wanting to build my own ("loop switcher" i call it) something i can switch from one group of pedals to another group

it will only change the order of things not switch between loops.

so its' a/b or b/a
instead of a or b

This pedal changes the order of the pedals plugged in. You can't use it to select loops. You'll need something like this:

The last one is the schematic of the first one, but it's quite complicated. There are options who are much easier.
