Perhaps you lucked out and the store unknowingly sold their display/in-store test model before being officially on the market? But then again, it is almost April. It wouldn't surprise me if April was the date that Boss figured that all units ordered would be delivered, but it wouldn't surprise me if some got them earlier and just put them out as they got them. There's a record store here that does that, they just put out the new CDs as they get them, even if its a few days before the official release date. Technically, I'm sure they aren't supposed to do that, but a unit sold is a unit sold...
Good eye, and let us know what you think! |

Yeah, I've already seen the DN-2, FZ-5 and ML-2 on sale at local music stores. What I really want to try out are the two fender pedals! I can only assume that the shops DID have them but they must have been sold very quickly.
Just have to wait... |

| I have been told, from a person working at Roland/Boss, that the first batch (or batches) are distributed around the world so there are not that many pedals in each country during the introduction of the new model. |

Looking at the serial numbers we can safely say that production started back in November. Normally, production starts the month they're announced but this time they started earlier indicating that the pedals should be available earlier. Well, that was the theory. In practicality only a few seems available so what Goran's heard may just be the case.

My FDR-1 and FBM-1 was manufactured in January, I bought them in the middle of March. I was in the store I bought them a couple of days ago and they told me that they wanted more of them but that there were no more left at Roland for the moment.

| You're so fast.. I don't think I will buy those until they're vintage.. What's the hard to buy a new pedal? |

| I got to admit I haven't seen FDR and FBM serials yet so I'm not sure if production of these started at the same time as the others. |
