| Roland still have them. I'm not sure if it is different in the states than here but I've found Roland UK very helpful. I called them up, told them what I needed and 2 days later I had a knob, a spring and a thumbscrew. All for about 3. |

| Radioshack has both the small standard knobs as ones that are exactly the same style but about twice the size. I like to replace the little pairs of knobs on my OD-1's & CE-2's with the bigger ones just because they make the pedals look funkier. The problem I'm finding now is that you use to be able to get the white slider covers (GE-7, GEB-7, etc.) at Radioshack & now they don't carry them anymore & I can't find them anywhere. Those tend to crack or get lost & you can get them cheap on Ebay w/cracked & lost sliders, which would be nice to buy if I could still get my hands on the white covers. |

| Sometimes Radio Shack seems to have the Boss size knobs also. Try your local Yellow Pages and look for electronics supply places in your area. They may have what you're looking for too. Once in a while, there are guys selling the Boss size knobs on eBay for a few bucks a pair too. |

| To get back on topic, my newest acquisition is an SP1. Before that it was a silver screw OD1 with the quad op amp. |

| It's so nice to be able to find some pedals for a cheap price. The OD1 I got was less than half of the price that it goes for on eBay! |

| In Sweden most people/musicans dont know that we are collecting pedals, therefore I can get Boss-pedals rather cheap. But for how long.... |

| It was so cool in the US before eBay, or even in the early days of eBay. Now it's hard to get a bargain price. Even if you're just going into a pawn shop or a second-hand guitar shop, all they need to do is look on eBay and see what the prices are like... Wham! Over-priced Boss pedals for everyone! |

Last year I found my SG-1 in near mint condition in a music store for about $60. The owner is an old man about 70 years old, he knows nothing about E-bay for sure.... Also bought an early CE-2 at the same place for about 50. But these times is soon over of course in every other musicstore. But I have made good deals even i big stores. |

Ebay works both ways. It educates the seller as well as the buyer about what something is worth. I regularly check prices on Ebay to make sure I don't get ripped off elsewhere. It has made it hard to find bargains but it has also made it more difficult for sellers to rip their customers off.
Whoops, drifted off topic again My latest pedal is silver screw BF-2 that I picked up yesterday. It's still in its original box. The box looks like its been through a war while the pedal looks almost new.

| I do have to admit that ebay has ruined it for ppl looking for older used pedals but if it wasn't for ebay i wouldn't have been able to get my CE-2, i traded in my ibanez chorus and distortion, and a DOD preamp pedal, i got about $54 for them and paid about $11 out of pocket. i figure it was worth it for a green MIJ CE-2 |

I'm waiting for a BOSS GE-7B in the mail right now. I've tried the GE-7 & GE-7B (sold prematurely) & found that the bass eq boosts the freq's that work with my particular tone better. I wasn't at all happy with the GE-7 for my personal applications, although it's still a great pedal.
I also got my hands on a HM-2 recently, but have to admit I wasn't too crazy about it. Very transistory & not as dynamic as I would like for what I do. I'm an OD-1 guy all the way (own several), although I keep OD-3 on hand in case I'm ever in a pinch. I recently bought a MT-2 & I like that quite a bit. If anything ever calls for that aggressive a tone, I'm comfortable knowing that I have one handy.
I hope to grab a RV-5 asap. I've owned so many BOSS pedals, but I buy/sell/trade them & only keep what I will use immediately or think I may have need for in the future. I'm not a strict collector for collecting's sake, but I love trying them all & keeping what I love most. Also, anything I really love & know I'll use in my normal working set-up I have to own a back-up for. |

Just got myself an early OS-2 (I suppose as the battery was an original Roland battery expirydate 1995 12). Near mint but I dont like this pedal a lot, no good overdrive, no good distorsion. |
