hey guys, does anyone know if you could record vocal patterns on the RC-2 and recall them at a point in a song. do you have to record just before u play or can you store patches?

e.g. you could record a vocal harmony and just stomp on the box at the right place in the song to get the effect of a backing singer.

Sure, just try it. Use a dynamic of any kind . I have done this a lot with my RC-20, it worked fine with an SM57, there is the possibility to set the input level on RC-20 that is not on RC-2. So use a mic preamp or limiter to dampen the signal if it distorts.
The sound quality is not 100% but OK...

cool but what i'm wonderin is, is there a way to store patchs of vocal samples to recall when you need them at a gig say or would you have to record them fresh before each song?

There are 11 patches/memories to save recorded parts for recalling later (a year later if you wish). Total 16 minutes of recorded singing, thatīs a lot.

To change between patches easy you have great help with an extra footswitch, it donīt have to be a Boss, I have a Nobel with two switches that works fine. It has to be unlatched.

anyone use any interesting pedals on vocals while we're on the subject?

like an EH-2, HR-2, PS-5, TR-2 etc.

Youīre not restricted to vocals, with the aux in you can use explosions, car crashes or anything from sound effect records.
Big fun...
