Wow! so much cramed into so few buttons and dials! looks like it's going to take a bit of learning and playing to work this pedal out! what a great concept though |

I know that this question will probably make some of you roll their eyes, but: How do loop stations work? Would it make sense for someone who has absolutely no experience with loop stations, to get this one?
Cheers! |

| well, loop stations let you record a guitar part. you can store this guitar part and recall it later. you can also play over the stored part, and plenty more. i am positive that when i get my hands on the RC-2 i will become a hermit and not leave my basement. |

Oh man that is SICK! I've got the RC-20XL and I would gladly trade it out in a heartbeat depending on one condition: The RC-2 HAS to be as silent as the RC-20XL or the deal is off.
I've got a friend at MF, I'll let you all know when this is supposed to hit shelves! |

Maybe they have an actual guitar player att BOSS instead of tech nerds. This could be an evidence of that as I guess that a lot of guitar players (e.g. me) avoid the big/complex double pedals. Maybe the double pedals is a failure just as the microracks must have been (- good stuff, but why are they not around anymore).
Nowadays BOSS has a history over all their pedals on the BOSS home page. It seems that they now have understood the popularity of e.g. the DM-2 and the slow gear as they mention them themselves with high regards.
As others (Line 6) are modelling their stuff to sound as BOSS early pedals, and BOSS are doing the same (double pedals), maybe there will at least be a tone control on their compact digital delays in the future. Or better yet - reissues like Ibanez, Maxxon. |

ya, the twin pedals are pretty inconvenient for hauling around. i predict the RC-2 to be a popular pedal. theres still a long wait till i get one though. |

I don't think it's so much that the Twin pedals are a failure. The DD-20 and RC-20XL sell like mad!
Here's the Schtick: Has anyone here ever seen a REAL looper set up in a single stompbox? Exactly! We see Delays/Samplers here or there with 10 seconds or so, but not a useable looper. Boss gets the "why didn't I think of that" award for the RC-2. Memory & microtechnology has gotten so cheap they probably jumped on the chance to be the first to do this. Expect one or two other guys to follow suit... |

| Boss has a tradition of taking larger effects and minimizing them into a compact pedal. The CE-2 did this to the CE-1. The DC-2 did the same with the Dimension D and the DD-2 and RV-2 was also based on rack mount effects. Looks like Boss is continuing a tradition they've been practising for years. |

| Lets hope for GP-20. I would like an amp sim with direct conectivity to the stereo. It wouldn't hurt if they included an output for headphones (and maybe reverb like the AC-2 to 3 upgrade). |

I managed to miss this thread somehow.
What an awesome pedal!
I haven't used a looper since the days of only being able to record a few seconds as a loop and never rally thought about the idea of getting one, but I will be picking up and RC-2 immediately upon sight!
What a great songwriting/practice tool. Not to mention being able to use it live and be able to solo over it!

| Just did a Google search on it and it's already offered by some of the big internet discount sites. |
