I have a friend who has a Boss GE-7 and the color is black (just like the HM-2) instead of Beige. I thought he just painted it himself. He is selling it to me and I'm about to buy it coz it's kinda unique and besides I need an EQ in my set-up. Btw as I checked the back cover indeed it was made in japan and its kinda look old though. My question is... Did Boss manufactured a GE-7 with Black as its original color?
THe box looks like t'was manufactured from the 80's. Its kinda old. the paint has a lot of chips n scratches and seem to look authentic... He just told me recently that he bought it few years ago from someone else. Maybe I better try to take a picture of it.
Is it possible to see some of the original paint (if the black isnt original) in the dings or elsewhere? I dont think nobody would have the energy to scrape all the paint of before re-finishing.
I would love to see photos of this pedal. How does the model name appear on the top of the switch cover? Is it in a color other than black? If the pedal is black, the name must be another color, such as white lettering on the SG1 or on the RV2, RV3, etc.
There is the odd chance that this is a small limited run like the Zakk Wylde SD-1. I would have expected to hear about it earlier if a special version like that existed though.
