Hi I have noticed something that I've never seen, I came apon a BOSS DF-2 SUPER FEEDBACKER & DISTORTION MIT serial number ZB55900( which according to the serial decoder it's a 1990). The strange thing is that it has a black label and uses an ACA adaptor. I just wanted to know if this is a unique pedal or were black label MIT pedals common?
I also have a 1984 MIJ BOSS DF-2 SUPER DISTORTION & FEEDBACKER, I tried the differences between the 2 pedals ( setting all the knobs at the same postition on both pedals) and there are very clear sound differences, the MIJ model has more high end frequencies and mid aswell, the MIT pedal has much more bass and low end frequencies and is fatter. The MIT pedal has a nice feedback that works as described on this site, the MIJ pedal has a strange oscillation that sounds more like a crazy flange or phase, the effect is unique and interesting but it doesn't sound like feedback. Anyone have any ideas as to what this sound is? thanx Saverio |
