I noticed that the AC-2 is not on the US site anymore. yet it is still on the JP site. Would the AC-2 be on the way to being discontinued?

I supsect it already is.
The Japanese site is usually very slow to remove the discontinued pedals. The OD-2R, OC-2 and BF-2 was there for ages after they were discontinued. Possibly because they still had some pedals in stock that they wanted to sell first.

I find AC-2 sounding very authentic acoustic (especially together with some drums). However a singlecoil or a split humbucker is needed. The soundlevel is however a bit low compared to the bypassed level. I have not A-B:d AC-2 with AC-3 but in a store I didn't find AC-3 authentic. Maybe the amp made the differece. I have read in a test that the AC-3 is an improvement over the AC-2 and it also have reverb. I wonder if the level issue is solved. Harmony central gives lots of bad reviews on the AC-3.

ya theres no point to it being around with the AC-3 around.

i love the AC-2. you can kinda get the same effect with a GE-7. just suck the mids out and adjust the bass and treble accordingly when playing clean and it will sound similar.

ive never tried the AC-3. i hope it doesnt suck

Hi StratoSphere & guys
What about posting, some or your GE-7 sample settings.

I now have a couple of these to experiment with.
