Dr Bob: Hi from across the pond! Although i have only been a member since last year, i have been surfing this site for much longer silently. Believe i only joined last year so i could access the manual download section or something..
My OD-1 has a bit of a story behind it:
Back in the day i used to work for New Zealand largest and most popular music franchise "Rockshop". These days they outsource all work on guitars preferring to concentrate on sales, but they used to have a small technician area to work on guitars. They had a small practice amp with (now mine) a funny little 2 knob yellow effects pedal which was covered in stickers and didn't have a hinge spring attached to provide some grit when testing out customers guitars. One day we were cleaning up the area and they asked if i wanted the pedal. I said "yeah i spose" and took it home. An hour of carefully removed the thick layer of stickers revealed the logo but even then i didn't realise what i had. It actually has a retro fitted black plastic knob in place of the SS but i determined it must be a SS from the info on this site.

When i opened it sometime ago and used this page to help identify it i worked out it was an "OD-1B".
Currently on my board, but will photograph and provide more info when i reconfigure my board when my newly purchased effects arrive from US next week.
Not bad for FREE aye?!.. |
