Well personally I wouldn't, they are completely different beasts, one is a phaser and the other chorus, two distinctly different sounds, listen to some You Tube demos or something. Hang on to the Phase 90 whatever, you'll probably want it one day, I know I regreted selling a lot of my older pedals.
Can you live without a phaser? A CE-20 wont do what the Phase90 does. However if you dont need the Phase90 and prefer the chorus sounds on the CE-20 by all means make the swap
They sound different, If you can go without phase, go for the chorus!
chorus is chorus but the Phase 90 is a phaser that sounds like no other phaser on earth...if you cannot keep both i'd stick w/ the Phase 90...it does a better Leslie affect that any phaser is gonna do...I ditched my CE-2(sold to Bossarea member) because whenever I found myself looking for modulatiuon the 90 always was the one I stepped on...turned down low it can do a chourus-like mod so...in my situation I never play w/ a clean signal so the CE-2 always sounded to up front...like an attention starved child...I kinda prefer the good quiet child that does what it's told when it's told...damn I couldn't live without my script Phase 90
archimedes I know about the difference I want to know CE-20 If justifies to be without PHASE 90 understand?
I do now, sorry. My advice is still to hang onto the Phase 90 and save a little longer for a chorus. As someone who has let far too many pedals go in the past that I regret losing I think you will want that Phase 90 at sometime in the future.
