Hello! Ive currently just got round to getting a power supply for all my pedals. The voodoo lab pedal power plus2. But it doesnt seem to work my boss CE2. Ive got all the little switches on the bottom of the voodoo lab set to normal. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think the CE2 requires an ASA instead of a modern PSA power output? Not sure if the VLPP2P can do that.
I might be well off though (Sorry! ) |

What you could do, is you can get these little DC to DC cables (just one connector on each end, the one that plugs into a boss pedal), plug one end into the daisy chain out of a TU-2/NS-2 etc, and the other end to the power in on your CE-2. That way you've daisy chained it in which means it will work. The older ACA pedals need either an ACA power supply (unregulated) or they need to be daisy chained with a PSA pedal, which is what you'd be doing with this idea.
Hope that works :) |

Yes, a daisy chain using most any pedalboard power source such as the Voodoo Power PP2+ or TRex Fuel Tank Jr, etc. works great to power older ACA pedals. You need to plug the older, ACA pedal(s) into the multi-pedal daisy chain cable. It works as long as you put at least one modern (non-ACA) pedal into the SAME chain. It need not be a Boss pedal by the way. Any pedal that works with a Boss PSA-type adapter (which are 9v pedals with a Boss-type barrel for electricity) should work. Right now I have 2 ACA pedals on one of my chains. Most of the older Boss compact pedals have very low mH draws so you can usually have capacity for quite a few of them in a chain.
OR, since you have a PP2+ you can plug it into one of the dedicated outputs by first flipping a switch under the unit to make the output of that one particular output connection 12v rather than 9v: "Boss pedals that require the ACA adapter operate at 12V which can be selected via switches underneath the Pedal Power 2 Plus. Any one of these outputs can be individually selected to run at 9V or 12V."
If you have a lot of pedals the daisy chain method will save room though (you can plug several pedals into one output) and NOT impact the sound. The one condition is you can't exceed a certain total mH level. So, you need to tally the total mH draw of all the pedals you want to place in the chain to make sure it is less than the total mH capacity of the particular output. The description of the Boss pedals in the pedal descriptions on this site gives the mH draw of the pedal. For non-Boss pedals look at the specs/instruction booklet that came with the pedal or go to the site for that specific pedal to determine it.
