Hi' first off great site! very informative..... OK' I've recently purchased a well used but not abused CE-2 minus the label on the back. The serial number in the battery compartment according to the data base tells me it's a 1988 Taiwanese made pedal. Is it at all possible to get correct 'period' replacement labels?? Would be nice to restore it to it's former glory. Thanks in advance.
Most of us here, have a pedal or two with missing labels, typically ripped off, when someone tries to remove Velcro, that has been attached to the bottom plate.
Hi Dr Bob' thanks' oh well? it certainly dosen't affect the pedal sound wise! I've had a couple of 'later' Boss chorus pedals over the years but this one is awsome in comparison.
If you find another period pedal with a backplate, you can decide which one deserves to have the label.. as long as it's period accurate, there's no problem! I had a rotten MIJ DS-1 which donated its backplate to a pedal in sore need of one.
