| What exactly does the Cancel trim pot do? I didn't notice really anything, except maybe some tonal or noise adjustments. |

Hi MrBoZiffer
I hope you have a Scope & a Sig. Gen. to set it back properly.
Or at least I hope you measured it with a digital multimeter, before you moved it.

Hi MrBoZiffer!
You might not hear much difference depending on signal and amp. But if you look on a scope, you will see pretty significant things going on.
Please see here for notes on setting it back: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4554 |

Thanks... that's helpful. But am I doing the pedal any harm if the pots aren't at the exact specs in your post?
The reason I tampered with them in the first place was because I wanted to adjust the time a bit and remove a little of the clipping. I accomplished both and like the way it sounds. I adjusted the Cancel pot, but since I didn't notice anything I just put it back where it was originally. Of course, I did this by eye, but I was conscious of it's original position, so it should be close. |

It should be fine - as in, it won't damage anything.
It's all down to how it sounds to you afterall
PS: it may lower the resale value - many collectors will ask if it has been adjusted. |

Cool. For a minute there I was thinking that the Cancel pot had something to with the power supply, but I guess not.
I don't plan on ever selling it. I sold one long ago and regretted it until I got another.
Thanks! |
