Found one at the local music store. Silver screw and clear switch, serial number 7300. Its a 1978. Paid 52 bucks no box.

Sounds good, works as a boost to my DS-1 and SD-1. Noisy though.

Looks like the on off light only works when the pedal is depressed???? can this be fixed?

There's a modification for this, at least on some of the Boss pedals with the original LED setup -- it should be around here somewhere if you do a search (probably in the Technical forum).

I think that we're still trying to figure out exactly when the change occurred. But here's some earlier discussion about it:

Nice find, I paid about double that. But I also got the box and manual. The momentary led is the way it should be, it isn't broken. The pedals are known to be noisy, so my reason for getting it was to add to the collection. If you want something quieter go with the GE-7.
