I started to modify a BOSS bd-2 with a kit I purchased in the internet ,I started working on it and everything was fine...(cheked out all the components were what they said was on the kit,the polarity of diodes on the PCB,and de-soldered and soldered every component at once and tried my pedal to be sure if there was something wrong I could detect it step by step....everything was working until I had to substitute the D1 diode with the supposed german diode kit, ( I respected the polarity )...but the pedal didnt work (still turning on but didnt produce any sound)tried to change turning the diode but still nothing ,then I putted back the original diode (respecting polarity) and still my pedal doesnt produce any sound but it turns on (red light on)
Could have done something wrong so far and/or produced damages?
I am really puzzled...
What and where do I have to look?

I am desperate,.. I dont know If I soldered or de-soldered something bad and damaged the PCB but I have been very careful.

I can provide you with hi quality resolution pics and diagram of the mod-kit in case this can help.

Thanks a lot for your understanding and sorry for my rumbling!!

Jac.

Hi Jacopo and welcome!

What often happens is that the wires to the jacks break off from all the movement of the board as the mods are being done. Check the white wire to the output jack is properly connected at both ends - give it a wriggle and a tug.

If it is OK, please post high-res pics so we can have a look.

Hi Jacopo
Welcome to the forum from Australia.

I see Laurie is already helping you.

Please keep (resize) the pictures to around 100k to 300K when posting to the forum, or you might get a time out error.

Or you might want to upload the pics, to one of the free image hosting sites.

Which BD-2 mod kit did you buy?

Just a quick heads up:
Your myspace link doesn't seem to work, when you click on it.
Did you leave out the (.com) ?

Regards Dr. Bob
