So I have this deal on a Boss DD-7.
I'm in need of a looper, though I don't need something overly complex. Just something that'll record and overdub.
Also, I love delays. I already have three and I can't see myself not getting more delays.

The deal is on a used DD-7, for 80 euros, 9 months old. It has no visual marks, dents, as new. It has all of the manuals, box, and also the receipt and guarantee.
I'm about to buy it, but I need to make sure: how good a deal is it?

Welcome to the forum.... don't have the DD-7 but i know a lot of people here love it...80 for any boss delay IMHO is not bad especially something like a mint DD-7...try before you buy and make sure it's what you want and it's ok would be my advice......

My main turn-off is that you can't eliminate the loops you've recorded, and when you turn off the pedal and turn it back on, the loop is gone.
A RC-2 is just too expensive.

I know what you mean, but If you think of it as just a digital delay a looper is a pretty sweet feature.

Its fun to do a simple jam.

I loop the power chords to Rockin' in the free world and just leave the dd-7 to repeat it while I improvise various solos in the scales. As Ive never had lessons Ive found its improved my use of keys and scales.

If you want a looper, get an RC-20XL, if you want a delay get a dd-7. The dd-7 has a mini looper as a bonus - to statify your looping needs until you get a loop station. Well that's what its doing for me
