Yay! My latest acquisition is the Mesa 2x12 cabinet to go underneath my Roadster amp. Closed back (like the amp) should push some serious sound & its pretty heavy for a 2x12. Even though you really can't talk a dealer out of much on Mesa, I did get a really heavy Peavey speaker cable w/Neutrik. Hookin' it all up now. |

I see the need for a couple ABYs, Switchbones, Headbones, or what not in the extremely near future. Bah, my kids don't need christmas presents this year!
The numbness in my left hand is starting to subside. I can't wait to play! Excuse my GAS, I fah-ted. |

I tried switching amps with switch boxes but i could never relly get on with it on gigs,i like running two different amps together..i.e my marshall with el84's valve converters ans the musicman which is basically like a 70's silverface twin..i got the idea from SRV who reports have it,used a couple of different type of amps together rather than switching between them... i.e...vibroverb,marshall and a dumble together or the vibroverb and a super reverb together..i even read one report he used a vibrotone cab(leslie) blended in with the amps to widen the sound....gilmour does something like this as well..... i had been playing with the idea of getting two smaller amps to keep the stereo spread but i'm wondering by doing this would i lose some of my tone...?? i'm pretty happy with the set up i have at the moment and the gigs are getting a bit bigger so the two amps aren't taking up as much room as they used to...i suppose i could always get a blues jr or the orange and use it with my selmer on smaller gigs.... |

I went ahead & ordered the Orange Tiny Terror & 1x12 cab. It should be here the first part of next week.

I need to order the Little Lehle switcher; they're supposed to be the bees knees for pop-free isolation & safety:

I do tend to be aggressive when purchasing things. I tell 'em: "I'm serious, make me the best deal you can the first time or I'm walkin'". After a few large purchases, they get the point & don't hassle me anymore knowing full well they won't make much over their own cost but will make up for it in volume through me, the happy customer.
I usually buy through http://www.sweetwater.com as they are the best sales engineers around bar none. What I can't wait for that GC stocks, I make GC price-match Sweetwater so I always get no tax, no shipping.
I got rid of the wife, built my own house, & am a good money manager so.. I guess is why I seem to have no sense. Don't worry, I've got you all in my will. |
