| I'm thinking of buying the Digitech Digidelay pedal, since I found interesting the modulated delay mode the pedal has.. I have a DD-3 on my "Big" pedalboard, and I'm building a smaller one (3 pedals), and though of the digidelay to get that chorus+delay sound... How does it sound? Does it have the same sound quality than the DD-3? Does it sound digital? Do you think it's a good buy? |

I have a digitech Metal Master and I hate it.
unless you want a power supply to come with the pedal don't get it
Plus its very digital sounding i have a DOD Delay Sampler and thats kinda the same thing
but in the end i'm thinking of buying it after i sell the DOD delay so i hope i didn't judge to harshly
P.S its not as analog as the boss DD-3 |

| Any more opinions? I'm thinking of buying an used DD-3.... I thoght the Digidelay was as good as the DD-3 but from your answer I guess it's not... What do you think of the Marshall Echohead, exodia? Do you think that one could be a good buy? |

I've spent some time with a friend's Digidelay in the past and it's not bad at all. It does a pretty good job of covering all of the bases with analog simulation and delay+chorus and etc. but none of the modes really stand out. You'd more than likely be able to get a used Digidelay for less than what you'd get a used DD-3 for, and you would get more options as well. It all depends on what you really want though: a pedal like the Digidelay that does a lot of things fairly well, or something like the DD-3 that essentially does a simple straight delay nicely. |

| I'm looking for that U2 modulated delay sound, which I more or less copy with a CH-1 and a DD-3 right now... I also would like to get a kinda Van Halen sound, which I'm also getting right now with CH-1 and a DD-3...I have a solid-state Peavey head and a 2x12 with Eminences... So do you think the Digidelay could be a good buy to my small pedalboard (3 pedals max)? |

Some of the reviews say that the Digitech is better in comparison to the DD-3.. Is that correct? I wonder if the repeats (in normal mode) are of the same sound quality than the repeats of the DD-3... If they sound as natural as the DD3's, or if they sound digitized and trebbly.. I also wonder how does the pedal react in bypass mode (when it's off).. Does it suck signal?
Thanks for all your replies, I hope to get many more |
