I bought this because it seems to have a lot of interesting features. I am interested in the upper octaves and maybe the doubling features. Don't know if I will use it as a harmonizer but I'll give it a try.
What are you all using this for?
Any settings you can share would be appreciated.
Where in your chain of effects are you placing it?

| i place mine 2nd last (delay being last). i rarely use it for harmonizing either. i use it mostly for the arm up/down mode. it is an awesome feature, although i think that this pedal loses points for having TOO MANY features. |

| I pretty much hate mine, I prefer my PS-2 for pitch shifting and my HR-2 for Harmonizing. The only thing I use my PS-5 for is if I am playing with the T.Arm, Detune, or Flutter functions. For what its worth though, I saw Issac Brock of Modest Mouse using 2 of them a while back (probably almost 3 years ago now), one definitely set to T.Arm, and the other might have been set to Flutter. |

My favorite setting? One that works. My PS-5 crapped out on me and Boss won't fix it. |

I don't have one, but I have to put it on T. Arm with a low speed and at least an octave shift every time I'm at Guitar Center. Sometimes I use the Harmonizer and play some fast leads to sound like Dragonforce, hahaha.
I agree with Dingus, though. I'd much rather have a PS-3 (or PS-2) and an HR-2 than just the PS-5. |

| I don't own any of the PS models, but I would say because there are more pitch shifting features than the PS-5 PLUS delay. |

Got my PS5 yesterday. Used it on a session. got a nice doubling sound with the detune:
Balance set 12 o'clock Delay time set 11 o'clock Pitch -10 %
Used in my chain (next to last before amp) after distortion before delay. Seemed to get best results after heavy distortion/overdrivE. Didn't care for clean sounds.
Still have to experiemnt with harmonist and pitch shifter |
