ya they definately are ugly, but i am a firm beleiver of keeping everything original. although i have been thinking of changing the LED in my GE-6. i can never tell of its on unless i step on it.

Why not buy a GE-7 instead, and keep the GE-6 original? As a bonus to keeping the GE-6 original you will also get a better EQ-pedal with the GE-7...
i already own a GE-7 althgouh that is in my first chain.
i actually changed my mind on modding the GE-6 as i have found that using a GE-7B surprisingly works great with my setup. i think i will just keep the stock GE-6 as a display type pedal.
