On the FZ-3, the paint is something like thick and "solid", with reliefs. I found this great !

Do other pedals have this knid of painting ?

Only the FZ-3 has this style of 'hammerite paint'. Boss wanted to create an old school style Fuzz pedal which would have the look of early Fuzzface type pedals.

The Fuzz sound is completely different to the FZ-2 as it uses discrete circuitry (No IC's) just like early 60's Fuzz pedals.

I AB'ed them and yep, nothing in common, as I recalled. The FZ-2 has this "artificial" kind of sound, while the FZ-3 is what we expect from a fuzz pedal, this kind of "gritty" sound, and so on.

It's funny, or me FZ-2 is just the kind of Boss pedal I can't stand (with PH-2, CS-3, MT-2...) and FZ-3 is the opposite, the kind I love (together with DM-3, OD-1, CE-2, DD-6...)

The "fuzzface" feeling of the paint is really a good idea, and it's a success, this pedal sounds better with this paint...
