I was thinking of running my TU-2 out of the 'direct' output of my DM-2 in an effort to get my signal chain as clean as possible - I have a couple 'true bypass' pedals and several that are not
Do you mean DM-3? Are you trying to do the same thing as you would with a volume pedal with a tuner out. This may be better than placing the TU-2 first as its out of the signal chain but someone else will have to confirm this as im not too sure.
if you have anything plugged into the "direct" out of a DM-3, DD-2, or DD-3 it will ONLY send the delay effect from the other output.. you won't be able to hear your playing unless you take something from the TU-2 and run it to an amp (when the delay is on). am I right here?
The 'trick' if you want to do this,is to put the jackplug only halfway into the direct out on the DM-3...i used to do this with a DD-3 and it worked fine, can't see why it wouldn't work on a DM-3...you still have normal, mono operation of the delay..the only downside is that you don't have silent tuning......
