I use GEB-7 EQ for guitar and it works great. It's cheaper than the guitar one too. I've never tried any other bass effects, but who knows it might sound good. Let us know.

CE-2B sounds very good for guitar too, I havent tested back to back with CE-2, but I have used CE-2B with guitar many times and I like it a lot.
The good thing is that CE-2B usually sells for less money than CE-2.
Maybe Dr Bob, or anybody else used to schematics could check the schematics for the electronically differences.

It's a good price but you already got the CE-2 so you there's a chance that the CE-2B will end up on the shelf anyway.
If you're not already collecting it could mean that you just started

Schematic drawing point of view only two parts are the difference: the effect volume knob and before this pot the value of coupling cap.

Based on the drawing yes, but should be changed the coupling cap and adjust the effect volume all the way up.

I was under the impression that the CE-2b and BF-2b had some kind of lowpass filter to keep the lowest frequencies clean?
