I was looking around YouTube for an a/b video between both analog and digital ver. Of the ce-5 with no luck. I have both pedals. What would be the best way to compare the two?

I expect the differences mainly with the controls all the way up.
The main issue will probably be the sound quality of the recording, which is what most youtube reviews lack. If you are lucky enough to use a separate microphone to record the sound apart from the video, the result may be very interesting.
And of course, don't forget to let us know the result. I always wanted to know the difference, if there is one, but never managed to get my hands on both versions. So I'm veeery curious about it.

If you have an RC-2 you could create a loop with you playing guitar in it. and then connect this to each CE-5 one at a time. This will ensure that the CE-5's are always being fed the same signal.

I had both at the same time.
To be honest I couldn't tell the difference.

In the end I sold the analog version, as it fetched more money on eBay.

Don't daisy chain them either (as you see in most a/b modification comparison videos) - ie guitar> analog ce5>digi ce5> amp or vice versa - as the buffer of one will have an effect tone wise on the next pedal in the chain and you won't get a true result.

People don't seem to realise this when then post mod comparisons with three or four of the same pedal with different mods all in a row !

I have compared them befor and the only diff I could find was the eq section, with gain the digital ver. Gets a tad noisy when the eq is set high.

So what would be the right way to connect them. My first idea was to use two aby switchers. But I only have one. So my new idea was to use my bf3 as a spliter. Ce5 a from output a and ce5 d from output b from the bf 3. Then connect the outputs of the ce5's to the aby switch to the amp. Would this be correct?

I plan on doing a video of this so I'll post it once it's done.
