Anyone got any? I recently picked one up, but I'm trying to decide if it's a useful device or not. From the little I've messed with it, it either doesn't make a difference in my tone or alters it so much that I find it disturbing.
I admit I haven't downloaded the manual yet... but I hear it's fairly vague anyway. |

That one is a rather vague pedal. I've got one and love its Robin's Egg-Blue color.
Most folks advocate running it last in the chain before the amp yet some prefer setting it closer to the input.
The consensus seems to be "I can't really hear the difference until I turn it off, so I always keep it on."
Personally I'm keeping mine because I like it. |

| the way to really run that mother is in the effects loop!!!!...preferably a series one but either way put it in your loop...if you don't have a loop then at the end of your chain is your only choice...it's just not very noticable there. It kinda works like the BBE Sonic Maximizer...and anybody whose ever owned one of those can tell you...in the loop...at the end of the chain. |

Last month I bought my EH-2 and it gave life to my tone. Really.
I tried it at the end of my setup but hated the flanger being enhanced, so I have it right after the noise:
guitar->tuner->overdrive->DS-2->EH-2->DD-6->BF-3->amp
I found the instructions pretty useful, as it gave two basic presets: one for rythmn guitar, and another one for solos. I use the latter, altough I'm the rythmn guitarist in my band. Knobs from left to right:
7 o'clock 9 o'clock 2 o'clock
I really notice it when I turn it off. I even notice it when it's on. 10/10 for me. |

| Funny thing about EH-2 is that I never bothered to try it. I remember several years ago, I walked into a used guitar shop and they were selling EH-2. It was labeled as "The Do-Nothing Pedal" -- I laughed and moved on. |

Maybe I was too subtle or tongue-in cheek in the last post. Sometimes I'm too laid back at the risk of not making a point.
Actually, I think that pedal does a great job and if you have it near the end of your chain, you will like it. Hearing it will decide it for your own ears. Last in the loop before a late-sixties era tube amp made it shine for me.
There was family trade for an New-Old-Stock Homelite chainsaw for that Amp and a fake Jap Fender-style bass back around 1978 or 1979. My cousin Robbie got that rig in the late sixties or early seventies and played in some Beatles cover band in the boonies of upstate New York... He probably got all sorts of good female attention, and married his high school girlfriend and fathered a pair of kids.
Unfortunately, a virulent strain of melanoma Cancer killed him in his early thirties. I don't know what happened to that chainsaw, but I still have the Bass and Premier Amp.
If his kids are still around in a few years, I will give the best picker the restored Bass, but I'm keeping the Amp. It sounds pretty darn good.
He traded his Bass rig for a Homelite Chainsaw that my Dad had back around the late seventies, and I was the benificiary. I still have the Bass and it needs a total restore... but it has been played a few times in the thirty-plus years I've had it.
The amp is a cheap clone of a Fender Bassman and sounds great, but needs a new filter Cap.
This post is a bit out of sequence, but is a short summary of events between 1978 and the present... The most important thing is that I rarely sell gear, so I have the most obscure fake Fender Basses and Premier Amps from the late 60's.
