Digital signals flowing through my strings i don't like the idea haha. tuning takes a few minutes at most. would you really pay 1000 usd more so you just press a button and it tunes itself? The tuning proccess would probably still take just as long wouldn't it? |

| Get a Peterson and learn how to tune. Quite like the blue burst finish though. |

The intonation is self adjusting as well. It would be nice to be able to be able to just put on any strings that you might want to try. You can go from .009's to a heavy flat wound set, just by changing strings. No set up needed. |

| Ooh, i like the idea of self-intonation, i'm always trying new gauges for various alt tunings and adjusting the intonation is a pain. |

| It's a great idea. Gibson just needs to connect it up to a TC effects floorboard, like Line 6's Variax does to a Floor POD; that way you could not only have different effects for each song, but a different tuning, and with none of the digital latency that makes a mess of the Variax's altered tunings. Provide a decent Acoustic simulator as well, like the Fishman Aura, and that's pretty much every basic guitar need covered off. |

You can connect it to your choice of effects, using an ordinary 1/4" patch cord |

you can get a similar system for strats as well now with the motorized machineheads,i read an article with paul reed smith a while back and he reckons that the the heavier/bulkier the machinehead the more the tone of the instrument is affected,it would be interesting to see a tone comparision side by side with a regular les paul with the old type klusons......... |

True... but I want to go from chorusy clean with a bit of reverb to flange-distorto-delay. Someone can build me a pedal to do this, or I'll just have to hire some staff to do my pedal tapdance.... |

Off topic, but have a look at http://www.voodoolab.com/commander.htm
I'm in the process of building something that does something similar - gonna have the ability to connect 15 pedals in three "zones" of five.
