I found a guy on Craigslist who is selling a first period SP-1, but he's asking for offers. What's a fair price?

$300-$350 maybe? Could be more. It also depends on the condition and whether the box or manual are included.

It's a Craig's List ad with very few details and no pics. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller, so I'll follow up if/when I hear back from him.

There's the link, if anyone's interested. I'm probably not going to buy it... I can think of other things to spend $350 on - like rent! :)

I recently won one off ebay SS with box for about $300.

I have seen one go on ebay for under $200 with box!
The one that got away.

On the other hand there was one SS with all that sold for $1000 a couple years ago.

If you notice there are some SP-1s on ebay that are pedal only and re-listed over and over again with BIN of $300 to $500 range, nobody's buying them. So I'd say $250 for just the pedal would be good deal. The seller may want more but they aren't selling as high as they did a year or two ago.

Nobody has a $350/1000 to drop on a pedal they probably won't use.....probably why prices are starting to drop...IMHO this sort of stuff was way overpriced anyway..these seem to be mostly for collectors as the reason these type of pedals are so rare is because they didn't sell first time around as most players couldn't find a use for them in their setup....

I'm with Franzoni on this one, those so-called "rare" or "vintage" pedals are way overpriced.
Vintage in my opinion means that something is very old and therefore not worth a penny.

Normally 2nd hand pedals go around for 35-60 bucks, maybe for a pedal like this 80-100 tops if you really want it for your collection.
