I've won a Pedaltrain pro and I am wondering what do with my Boss compacts.

Do I:

Attach velcro around the rubber? (I dont want to pull of the labels)
Or should I unscrew the back plates on all of my compacts and flip them around?

What is the most effective method?
Cheers

You can buy the baseplates (without the rubber - just bare metal) from Roland for a few dollars each...

Well, i think, the second option is the best. With this mode, you will protect the labels from your Boss pedals Or you must fitting the velcro on the upper side and bottom from the backplate.
Anyhow, every where except on the Boss label much options.

Good luck, Robert

My label-less TS-9DX from Ibanez keeps on slipping from its velcro. I tried cleaning, but I don't want to break the battery door so I leave it without velcro. What could I do?

When I used a pedalboard requiring velcro I flipped the bottom panels around to keep from ruining the labels. I think someone on this forum said that this would create "ground noise" since the rubber was not touching ground(I know I'm not getting the details right; hopefully this person will chime in). I never had that problem though...I was quite satisfied with this, and when I reverted back to a BCB-3 I was able to remove the velcro and flip the panels back around properly with no "velcro damage".

I always used velcro before I got my BCB-6 (even on the labels) and could get it easily off. The label of my MIT DS-1 loved to come off with the velcro but with some care, I succeeded in keeping it on the bottom.

Ditto.......... don't plan on selling them so it doesn't really matter too much if there is a bit of glue on the rubber or the label to me....i gig regularly and they manage to stay pretty much in place even with the pedalboard being thrown in and out of places and the van........

+1, works for me too. Don't see the need to put a great slab of velcro over the sticker as some do.

3M Duo-Lock works much better than Velcro IMHO! I can turn my pedalboard upside down and shake it and none of my pedals fall off! Oops, got to go; I think my neighbor is using nuclear explosives!!

i just thought of something. putting velcro on the sticker does not do much case the sticker is concaved so it really wouldn't stick. but i am sure if you layer a few business cards in there and put velcro over the whole thing it would hold really nice. and you could keep the sticker intact
