What did the Renowns go for back in the early 80s?

I'm so curious about the Renown as my cousin (with whom I was pretty tight with) had one & he died a few years ago in a construction accident. I wish I had his gear.

I am sorry about your cousin, DeFrag. I dunno what they were new. I bought mine a few years ago, used. I think I only paid $150, but I didn't get the foot control and it won't work proper without it. It has automix where you can use both channels at the same time. I ordered the foot control from Peavey and they made one up special for about 80US(about $100CDN at the time). It's a good old amp.

I remember paying $220USD for my Studio Pro 40 in 1983.
I'd guess the Renown went for $350 or so.

THX!....the Vox Royal Guardsman is sadly empty @ the moment!...but I see a set of Eminence Texas Heat's in her near future...i'm running my Orange OR120 into an Orange PPC412C and the OR80 on top is going through a Marshall 1960B until the Vox is fixed

OK!! its great for those empty tones
I got an orange top that collects dust in a dark corner of our rehersal room, but i got no speakers. Do you prefer the orange or the marshall cabinet?

...w/ the tone i'm using the Marshall's just cannot hang w/ the volume and punch...they fart out when they're supposed to be screaming and i prefer the Vintage 30's in the PPC412C...so i'm gonna give Orange cabs the vote...but i'm fairly biased when it comes to Orange Amplification...as far as i'm concerned they're the bees knees...I own and have owned a freakin lot of amps and they just hit me where it counts...

Thank you very much Brut. Supremacy, I appreiciated your input.
It makes sense since the orange speakers should be more matched to
orange tops...
I miss that orange top, im sure gonna shape it up this spring.

Are those wide range humbuckers standard in your Jazzmaster?

Yes, I routed it myself, so they would fit.
