OK, firstly, I admit, I have too much time on my hands!
Since I became totally addicted and obsessed with Boss pedals, I've been keeping my own records to guide me in my collecting, for example what price I should expect to pay and how often a particular pedal sells and how many boxed good/mint ones turn up.
So I thought I'd share some stats with you. The question of rarity often pops up, so this graph may be interesting to some. (Obviously some of the newer pedals appear to be more rare because they're not being sold second hand much yet).
Edit: Probably obvious, but the DF-2 Distortion Feedbacker is there as 'DF-2 Distortion' to differenciate it from the 'normal' DF-2, similarly, the DC-3 Space and OC-2 Octaver (with an 'r')

Also possibly of interest - I've been totalling the average price of the whole Compact Pedal series and plotting the results - it's actually pretty steady - the graph might look dramatic because of the scale, but there's only about 100 difference between the maximum and minimum. (If the graph started at 0.00 it's almost a straight line).

Interestingly, although there's less than 6 months data, most of the pedals, particularly the big sellers are holding very steady average prices, but there are some surprises in what's falling, including, (believe it or not!): DC-2, DM-3, OD-1, PN-2, RV-3, SG-1!
It's no surprise to most of you that the CE-2 and CE-3 are rising, along with: AC-3(!), DD-5, DM-2 and SD-2.

Very interesting. I did something similar 2003 but I only wrote down the price each pedal sold for. I'm not perfectly sure when I stopped gathering the data but the spreadsheet was created 22/12/2002 (dd/mm/yyyy). I think I did it for about a year.
Konrad, if you want my Excel sheet, e-mail me (borgetx@hotmail.com) and I'll attach it to my reply.
Here's a graph showing the number of sold pedals 2003. For some reason the X axis only lists every second pedal but they're listed alphabetically so it's possible to guess which ones are missing

It's a very odd feeling seeing a graph that looks just like mine! I suddenly don't feel so alone!
Edit: My graph shows only every other pedal on my home PC but displays everything perfectly on my work PC!
Thanks very much for the offer of the spreadsheet Bossarea , but as I'm listing the condition and whether boxed etc, then I think I'll just carry on from where I started. I've actually got an overall average price for each pedal and where possible a 'boxed good or mint' price.
The 'mine' page constantly shows the difference between what I paid and the current average (and if mine's boxed it compares it with the 'boxed' average.)
My favourite and most useful page in my spreadsheet has a 'dynamic' graph so that (whilst ebaying!) I choose the pedal from the drop down list and the page gives me a line graph showing the average price for that pedal. The page also tells me at a glance: >Number of sales >How many of those were 'Boxed Mint or Good' >And as a percentage(!) >Current Average Price >Current Average 'Boxed Mint or Good' >Maximum ever paid >Average number of Bids per Sale >Production From and To dates >The label colour possibilities >Any other info such as early version differences >Whether I own one (as if I wouldn't know!) >How much I paid (Colour coded to say whether I got a good deal or paid over the odds!) >Whether mine is boxed >When mine was produced >The label colour of mine >Japan or Taiwan
