Hi, I'm replacing the switch on a DD-3 that was broken. I was able to order a replacement from smallbear, but I'm now concerned that the switch isn't the only problem since I have also found a broken wire that was probably connected to one of the 1/4" jacks I removed. I'm not sure which one though!

I've been looking around for the DD-3 version 2 schematic (with the square chip) with no success so I can rewire this DD-3 appropriately. Does anyone have any additional information, or even just some internal pictures of their DD-3 version 2?

The photos posted in the sticky are a DD-3 version 1, which I fear is probably different looking enough to follow effectively. They also do not show the jack wiring.

Thanks! -pc

Hi ugufru and welcome!!

Easiest was is to post some high res pics of your pedal internals - then we can look for stuff that doesn't look right (can compare it to our pedals is needed etc.)

OK, I've managed to take a few photos of the DD-3A and post it to the list of Internal Pictures. Here's the main one in question:

At the moment, and I've slightly made things worse, I have one black wire that completely disconnected itself from one of the 1/4 inch jacks that goes to the switch, as well as the white and purple wire in the foreground which has been disconnected. One of these goes to a switch, and the other goes to a jack.

At this point, I'm no longer sure which goes to which. Ideas? Need more clues? There are 6 other pictrues on the sticky thread if you need more views of the situation...

Thanks! -pc

So far I can tell you that the purple wire goes to one side of the switch (the purple wire an any Boss pedal "always" goes to one side of the switch - so far in my experience).

More to follow...
