Hi!
I'm new to this excellent board...
I have ordered a BCB-60 for my BOSS pedals, and when I get it I have a spare BOSS AC Adaptor PSA-220 (bought around '85 with a PSM-5).
I have a CryBaby 95Q that I occasionally use:

I plan on having it outside of the BCB. Can I use the BOSS PSA adaptor for that, I don't wanna buy a Dunlop adaptor if I don't have to...
EDIT: I found this in the 95Q manual:
"The 95Q uses the Dunlop ECB-03 (ECB-03E for Europe), a 9-volt DC regulated AC adapter. Plug polarity is positive on the barrel and negative in the center." |

| As long as it is the right kind of plug and has enough juice being supplied to it, almost any adaptor will work. Most manufacturers just specify to use theirs because they know that the adaptors they manufacture are the correct polarity and power, and I think it just makes things easier in regards to warranty coverage issues by saying,"Our adaptor will not fry your pedal, so use ours, and if you do not, then we are not responsible for what other adaptor makers claim or do not claim." So as long as the adaptor matches the pedals needs, + on the barrel and - in the center, you'll be okay with that adaptor for most pedals, other than Line 6 (I think) and a few other brands that have the polarity reversed. |
