| hmm im really liking the amp BUT it seems my old pedal set up is no longer appropriate... for distortion. I use a DS-2 and a keeley mt2 and the ds-2 is perfect with a pq-4 for grunge but the keeley mt2 is terrible for thrash! Its way too high end and nasally sounding. So i think ill need something else to get a thrash sound. Right now im considering running two ds-2's with different settings because i can get it sounding decent for both genres but im also considering other options. Thrasher's dont even use distortion so im considering getting another sd-2 dual overdrive. What i wondering for that is would i use it on my clean channel or my overdrive channel? Im also considering trying laurie's stormchaser mod. |

...playin a Marshall huh?...crank that whore up man...you shouldn't need any dirt pedals...except maybe an MXR Micro Amp or your overdrive of choice...just to goose her into submission |

I'm sorry, we should've told you to use your MT-2 as a paperweight from now on.
I just keep on kicking dirt at that pedal, IMO it's the most unusable sound out there, it doesn't even sound remotely close to any selfrespecting metalguitarist's sound I ever heard.
I'm with Brutalitarian here, crank up the gain on the overdrive channel, that's what it's for. You could always tickle it's butt a little with a decent overdrive pedal. (SD-1, OS-2, BD-2, tubescreamer, stuff like that.) |

what exactly do you mean by 'thrashers dont even use distortion'? i'm a bassist and new to the guitar world, so this sentence confused me. |
