hmm im really liking the amp BUT it seems my old pedal set up is no longer appropriate... for distortion. I use a DS-2 and a keeley mt2 and the ds-2 is perfect with a pq-4 for grunge but the keeley mt2 is terrible for thrash! Its way too high end and nasally sounding. So i think ill need something else to get a thrash sound. Right now im considering running two ds-2's with different settings because i can get it sounding decent for both genres but im also considering other options. Thrasher's dont even use distortion so im considering getting another sd-2 dual overdrive. What i wondering for that is would i use it on my clean channel or my overdrive channel? Im also considering trying laurie's stormchaser mod.

...playin a Marshall huh?...crank that whore up man...you shouldn't need any dirt pedals...except maybe an MXR Micro Amp or your overdrive of choice...just to goose her into submission

I'm sorry, we should've told you to use your MT-2 as a paperweight from now on.

I just keep on kicking dirt at that pedal, IMO it's the most unusable sound out there, it doesn't even sound remotely close to any selfrespecting metalguitarist's sound I ever heard.

I'm with Brutalitarian here, crank up the gain on the overdrive channel, that's what it's for.
You could always tickle it's butt a little with a decent overdrive pedal. (SD-1, OS-2, BD-2, tubescreamer, stuff like that.)

what exactly do you mean by 'thrashers dont even use distortion'?
i'm a bassist and new to the guitar world, so this sentence confused me.
