Actually, while I'm here, how loud can you push the delay on the RV-3? Ideally I'm after something with delays as loud as the original signal, and ideally if they can be pushed to be louder.
as long as you have a level control, you can push the output of the delayed signal louder than your input signal. I have done this with DD-2s and DD-3s but didn't own the RV-3s long enough to specifically try that trick out. The DD-2 level control does NOT affect the originaly 'dry' guitar signal, so your echo (at least the first one.. depending on the feedback control) will slap back LOUDER than your original picked note.

Alot of people have recommened the DD-3 for the 'louder slapback' option so that's an alternative to an RV-3, though having the option of reverb in the same pedal is a plus.
