Hi Bossarea & Guys
I found this while I was doing some research this evening. It gets some pretty good reviews & comments. I know it's not real pedals, but some of use work in digital enviroments & DAW studios. AND it's FREE

WOW looks like fun. How do you plug the guitar into the computer? Do you need a midi enabled guitar?
Hmm, I wonder how it would sound for a midi synth plugged in?!?!

Theres a cable you can buy for under $5.
On one side, theres the 3.5mm plug, so you can plug into the mic of the computer, and then the other side, there are 2 1/4" jacks, one for the left, one for right (since the computer is stereo).
I just put one in my guitar, and leave the other one hanging. I guess you could put the other in another guitar and have a nice jam.
What I found though, is that there are a lot of really bad programs, that cant really handle a guitar (or maybe just not the chord). I had one where there were many different amps, and moddeled effects, but it just sounded like static. The program i use now when i want to play through the computer is Guitar FX BOX 2.6. the only real options are the effects, but they all work nicely, and a clear signal is produced. |
