Hi Guys, Some weeks ago I got (again) a MZ-2. The first one I sold because I didn't like it that much but I desided to give it antother chance. When I got it I plugged it in and wasn't that happy. After reading on the forum about the MZ-2's tone in stereomode I wanted to check that out. So yesterday I connected my MZ-2 in two amps. output A in my DSD-2 and then in my pro junior, about B directly in a Marshall JTM30, holy crab, what a sound!! I could never imagine that it would sound so great, what a difference with mono use. How is it possible that in stereo use it sounds so much better?!? Any opinions?
The chorus in particular and to some extent delay always sounds more fat and beautiful in stereo. The distortion, it is mono, in MZ-2 is not that great but when combined with the chorus or delay settings in stereo I like it a lot. MZ-2 must be intended to just stereo use.
i always found the distortion to be slightly above average in mono. i find its an excellent pedal if youre jamming at a friends and dont wanna bring in a delay and mod pedal. its nice if you just wanna shut up and play.
I agree it sounds much better in stereo. I would not even use it at all in mono. It seems like most Boss pedals with the stereo option sound much better in stereo.
