I just got a DOD DFX 94 Delay/Sampler and when iwent to go plug it in it had no battery so I put a fresh 9 volt battery in there and when I went to go play there wasn't any delay and my amp started screaching after that i tried turning the knobs and it sounded like I was in space but with no delayHow do I get it to work
Exactly how fresh was the 9volt or have you tried a power supply other than a 9 volt? Just wondering because I know the old DOD/Digitech Digital Delays would only have about 2 hours of life on a 9volt battery, so if the battery wasn't brand new, it may already be too low for proper function. I suggest getting some sort of power supply for it, otherwise you'll be changing batteries constantly. Do you have any signal in bypass? Just wondering, but definitely try an AC adaptor or a very fresh battery.
Or it sounds like, if there is an infinite repeat function, that the delay is on that perhaps? I don't know for sure though...I am pretty sure DOD has all the directions for their pedals on PDFs for download, so if it didn't come with instructions, I'd check that out as well. On the other hand I only have a problem with the signal path
I have to put it first in my FX loop to get a sample from all the pedals and when i put a sound on I can barely hear myself on the guitar but then again its a pretty good pedal just don't turn the repeat past 3 o clock or it will Oscilate pretty heavily into your amp which makes a loud crackiling sound
P.S I havent bought a power supply for it yet as i dont know where to look does anybody know where I can find a 10 Volt D.C Negative Ground Power Supply
