Hi Folks~
I was dealing with a fellow on a box and when I ased about an adaptor he said I could have the one he'd been using but it wasn't a Boss. The model he was using had an output of 9V == 500mA. I assume the pedal is working fine since he is offering it (and willing to let me try it). Should I be worried the pedal has been damaged by this in the long run or is it ok to use and continue using?

It is ok to use it but many Boss pedals are very fuzzy about good quality power supplies so be careful, you could end up with a noisy pedal because of the adapter.

Thanks, bossarea. Would this 'noisiness' be permanent (i.e. damage to the pedal) or would it just be related to the adaptor? I just ask because I don't really intend on continuing to use it, but I don't want to buy the pedal if it has been damaged.

Hi!
It's there any difference between the 9V output of the NS-2 and this cable?

As you see it's not standard Boss daisy chain like cable.
The power is divided before the pedals.

You can plug that cable directly into you power supply and you don't need a power pedal.

Yes, I know. I've been used it before my NS-2.
So there's no difference with the their powers?
Does the NS-2 filters something or not?
(I think not but maybe you know it better.)
