Hi guys
I'm glad I found you and hope someone can help me out! I've been searching for a BOSS fansite and at last Ive found one! Don't know why I couldn't find this before but I'm here now....! So thanks for having me.
Anyhow. Years and years ago I bought a secondhand BOSS pedalboard with a few pedals in it - more for the pedals than the pedalboard, which never got used. I just stored the pedalboard away and thought little of it. Recently I came across it and started to look into it to find out a bit more about it. But I didn't have much luck. I asked on a couple of websites. Most people had never seen one before. BUt there were a few who thought it might have been used by a sale rep or two, or perhaps as some kind of demo unit. Almost everyone said they have not been mass produced, and I must say that is how I feel about it too because I just cannot find anything out about it.
So if anyone here could tell me a little more about it I would really asppreciate it. Here are some quite crappy pics. My GF is in bed now but I'll ask her nicely to take some better pics. These should hopefully do for identification though.

Hi Max Dread and welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure if your pedal board was made by Boss. I have seen one like this on Ebay before but it's a while ago so it could have been the one you bought. If it's a one-off, it's more likely something made by a Boss enthusiast/collector. If there are more of them, it could potentially be a promotion item made by Roland UK. |

| I would be tempted to say homemade as well. The B on the writing looks slightly off (although that could just be down to age). Still, it's exactly the kind of pedalboard I'd like, good find! |

Thanks for the input guys.
I bought mine from a local guitar shop, probably around 10 years ago (maybe more). So I don't think it was the one on eBay. I'm gonna be selling it, so watch out for it on the FOR SALE Forum.
I'd just love to know a bit more about it first. Got no idea how much to put it up for either!!!!
Cheers
Max

Only problem I see is there's no cutout for patch cords to go from pedal to pedal.
When you bought the board how were the pedals connected? |

It looks like a BCB-prototype with the gaps for the TU-12. It very well could be a rep's display case - it looks genuine to me.
Remember the rare lucite strats which went around as rep demos.. |

I've seen these on eBay from time to time.
They go for less money than a BCB6 (or BCB60), probably because there is no info about it on any official Boss/Roland website, and it looks like a copy. |

I've recently started using a POD XT Pro and as such am selling off a lot of my effects. I'll keep some stomps for future reference and for studio use, but won't be needing a pedalboard for them. Besides, I never used this as a pedalboard. I only bought it because it had pedals in it and I wanted some of the ones it had. It's been sitting in storage unused since I bought it. Hence the pretty good condition.
3 posts to go now!!! Like I said, I've got some pedals to sell as well, along with a partially working ME10!!! So watch this space!!! |

No problem mate - just keep an eye on the For Sale Forum. But I can drop you a PM as well if you like. I am in the UK though, so I will have to look into shipping costs.
As I'm still not too sure exactly what this is, I haven't got a clue what price to sell it for! I think what I'll do is put it on the For Sale forum and just see what interest is out there and at what price. If a Mod reads this - could you please confirm that it is OK to do that? I know some Forums say you have to state a price, but that is difficult to do in this situation.
I'll also be putting up some pedals for sale......
As for the real/fake debate.,,,, I'm no expert, but I'd have to agree that it seems far too cleanly made to be a fake. I don't know if there is any way of telling for sure though.
HTHs
Cheers
