Just saw that DS-1 pedals are CAN$50 new price at the music store. I'm thinking it might be time to buy one to use the housing for a project... (plus keep the board for spares).
Hmmm...
Does anyone know if this is the "new" price, or just a short term promotion?

The DS-1 goes for $39.97 at Sweetwater & $39.99 at GC. It is the regular, non-sale price. At Sweetwater, I can get it with free shipping as well, so that's as cheap as you're gonna find it.
I'd love to have one for a project pedal, but I'd find it hard to dedicate the guts to a drawer. |

Crap... even with an on-par exchange rate, it's still $10 cheaper in the US |

You could also try the other dc plug thats mounted to the chassis instead of the pcb. you'll end up having to get a new dc plug that mounts to the chassis. Look for SD1s or other similar pedals, even broken ones.
$50 new there's two japanese DS1s for the same price down the road |

Thanks ChristoMephisto!
So... is the CE-3 an OK pedal? I have a CH-1 which is nice an subtle, but not as fat as I'd like.
Regards, Laurie. |

| I like the idea of a co-op. I wonder how many pedals we would need to order from Roland before they would treat us as a wholesale customer? |

Glad you like the idea, but I was thinking more along the lines of an authorized dealer like Sweetwater or Humbucker. Roland/Boss would require us to actually BE a dealer ourselves to qualify. |
