Hi Everyone

I am looking for some recommendations for "best of" or similar compilation albums by Michael Schenker and UFO.

Can anyone give me the heads up on the ones go for / avoid?

cheers

Chris

Personally I much prefer MSG to UFO.
I don't know any of the compilations but I would try to get one with that contains tracks like Armed and Ready, Into the Arena and Attack of the mad axeman.

Reactivate Live is a nice box (4 disks) if you can find it.

I love MSG and Michael Schenker by the way.

He is also a fellow Boss user, CE5 and DD3 are the only pedals he uses along with a Wah.

UFO has a really good live album - I'll have to find the name as I have not listened to it in many years. It has great versions of Lights out in London and Rock Bottom on it. A lot of UFO studio albums don't cut it as they are too sterile but the live album I'm thinking of it pretty cool.

Was it strangers in the night?

I think that might have had the live version of 'lights out'......

You can even have a personal guitar lesson from the man himself if you live anywhere near North London:

Goott Records
e-mail: msguitarlessons@earthlink.net
phone: 00447504150200
Location: North London
200 (1 hour)

That ad was from a couple of years ago, but the myspace page is still active so I presume he's still doing them.......

I was very tempted to try and get a lesson a while back but it was just too much money for me at the time.......

UFO Strangers In The Night

Probably the only album you'll need by them.

If you need to get a complitation of sorts then The Best of UFO will do fine.

Yeah that's the one. Definitely start with Strangers. If you don't like that, don't bother with the studio albums.
