Hi Guys
If you have some spare bandwidth, please link over to my new Beta site. Dr Bob Engineering http://drbob.ucoz.com
Laurie has been great, helping me iron out some of the bugs. There are still some there, but it was time to let it go.
I'm not currently looking for registrations, but the option is there. The Guestbook is active - uploads are not currently allowed.
I have uploaded the complete: ETI447 Phaser Project from Sept. 1976 http://drbob.ucoz.com/load Go to the File Catalog Menu in the left sidebar The above link will take you straight to the File Catalog section.
This is a really nice Phaser. The PCB isn't the smallest but it will fit in the larger Hammond style cases.
I have been hoarding a collection of vintage projects in dusty old magazines, that I built as a teenager. It seemed to be a such waste to let it all just fade into the back of my library, & eventually become yellowed by the acidic content of the old paper stock, or just get tossed out.
I will be uploading more great project files as time allow.
Drop by, download the projects, & please let me know what you think.
Regards Dr. Bob

Nice site Dr. Bob Not that easy if you don't know what you're looking for but it's a start.
The phaser looks like a fun project to do. Maybe in the near future.

Thanks for nice comments & dropping by.

Everything is possible, but for now I have a limited amount of server space. The server & site allows me to link to the files on my main server, where I currently have all my music & projects stored. I might make a cross links page, to the music. To be really honest, I like to keeping control of the files on my current main server, even though the page is basic.

I used a combination of Templates, magic mirrors, & smoke, & recoded a few small sections. It was the best I could do with the resources at hand. And I know there are some excellent Site Coders, & Graphic Artists here on the forum.
As a quick update Laurie ("The Tireless") has been hard at it in the background once again for us. He sent me a Great JPG of the the PCB for the ETI447.
He actually went to all the Trouble, Time & Effort, to redraw a high quality vector art version of the PCB.
Needless to say, I will be uploading it in the near future, all with his blessing of course. Thanks again to Laurie.

Hi Guys
Thanks for your positive support.
I have just added "Preview Graphics" to the Downloads for the ETI477 Phaser. I hope it makes it easier to see what you are about to download.
I renamed the "File Catalog-menu" to "Downloads" - for the same reason.
I also added the Remastered-Redrawn PCB file that Laurie went to all the trouble of doing. And I thought I was the one that never slept much...
Drop by & sign the guest book.
Regards Dr. Bob |

It looks very professional and beautifully designed.
What is the mission statement for your web page (if I may ask)? |

Hi cctsim & guys
I summed it up in a simple one liner at the bottom of the main page, as it's: "My Place In Space" ... (web-space).
The difficult part was making the decision to have one, the content will be added as time goes on. Like a lot of us, I have a collection of old schematics & ideas, that I felt needed a place to live, besides my library & the every growing piles of stuff in the Lab. If you read carefully, I actually had the first live beta back on the 21st of April 2009. (I procrastinated & formed other ideas for 4 months).
It's been sitting there while I was making-thinking about whether to go public or not. Laurie came over for a visit or two, to let me know if things were looking-working OK.
I think I will be adding a small discussion forum, mainly for the projects that I put up, I felt that, that would be the least I could do for those that want to attempt to build any of the projects there. It was never meant to be a competitor to the bossarea forum. Plus the fact, that I have not allowed comments, in any of the other sections.
In case you or others were wondering, I will most likely put up a few of my custom/boutique (whatever you want to call them), built pedals as well. There have been a lot of old pro muso's, that have asked me to build more batches of some of my pre-bossarea days boutique pedals, that I used to have. But that's a lower priority for now.
I have been considering having some shared space, if others feel kind enough to share-upload some of their projects-thoughts-ideas. Laurie was kind enough to donate a re-drawn re-mastered artwork for the ETI447.
I am always open to suggestions. Anyone should feel free to PM me anytime in that regard.
I have also been talking with Bossarea about the site, & he has been very encouraging; He mentioned in one of his PM emails, that he too, was also reluctant to build a forum for Boss Pedals & Enthusiasts, thinking that he would probably only get 1-2 members, posting 2-3 messages.
Regards Dr. Bob

Dr. Bob, it's a good site. If you have the time and resources to add more content like that phaser, it will become a great resource.
Keep up the good work! |

Hi Guys
Just a quick heads up. I have just uploaded the all important "ETI447 Build Notes.pdf". For the Phaser Project to the "Downloads" section, on my web space.

A quick note - the ETI 447 phaser PCB on Dr.Bob's site has been build-verified to work correctly.
