Hey guys,

i use my amp distortion, well i really use 2 channels of distortion and one clean and i'm wondering about the SD-2. i was going to get one just in case something happens with the amp so at least i'll have the same dist options: clean/OD1/OD2 but what is this pedal like? i'm lookin for a smooth OD2 and a nice not too middy OD1. is this pedal all it seems to be or is it a jack of all trades but expert at none?

I have had SD-2 for over a year and I love it more and more, alongside with BD-2 its my favourite OD (I have all Boss OD/dists).
The transparency and dynamics of the crunch channel is remarkably good, from sounding like a booster to strong crunch. It suits single coils and humbuckers perfect.
The lead mode is also transparent but I dont like it as much as the crunch mode.
Even if its rather scarce try find one, even for the crunch mode alone its worth it.

cool but by transparent do you mean it doesn't totally saturate the guitar tone even at low gain levels? i like the feeling of the saturated signal even with creamy OD's.
and how much do these babies tend to go for these days?

By transparent I mean that a Stratocaster sounds like a Stratocaster when SD-2 is engaged, the tone/signature sound of the guitar is not destroyed by the OD. Most ODs tend to color the guitars own sound more or less.
