a bit overboard on the distortion, no? I never over-distort so much as over-modulate. Must be my preference for Cocteaus over MBV! |

Eheheh... I've launched a fashion.
Small update

A real picture will follow soon.
My next target will be a metal-"something", then a chorus and something else like a phaser or a flanger... dunno. |

Nice! Do you use the micro amp as a linebooster to crank the amp or just for volumeboost at soloparts and stuff? |

| The second you said! That pedal add "something" that volume pedal doesn't. Perhaps I don't play so much solos, usually I do rhytmics and sing, but - as I wrote many times - I would like to be prepared to any eventuality with my pedals. |

| Yes, I know what you´re thinkin of. It makes the amp come alive a little. I guess that the difference is that a volume-pedal set to maximum still is the max volume that you set your amp at and if you turn the pedal to the heel you decrease the overall volume. And a amp mostly sounds better when fed with higher gain. If you are using a booster instead you start where the volume is set at your amp and when turning on the booster you increase the input volume from there and the amp will crank a bit. It kinda overdrive itself a little. Think it has something to do with the preamptubes that go hotter or something like that. In my rig I use it all the time. My SD-2 is set to be on all the time, at full level but with the drive set to minimum to get the boost into my standard sound. |

I can't find anywhere else to post just a pic of pedals on display.. so here's my collection as it stands.. in the sidelines (purchased, but hidden until birthay/anniversary/xmas, are OC2, DC2, DD2, CE1 and SD1.. all MIJ, of course.
Everything here is also MIJ.. missing from this shot are my two broken parts pedals.. ce3 and a frankensteined ds1. Also, a nice PV-1 with its vinyl bag (and a silver screw :), and an old BCB-6 are on the lower shelves.

Hi verivorax, nice collection; I like the way you've displayed them standing up too.
Here is my little family:

Latest additions are the FT-2 and RV-3, still got many to go...

Thanks sp-1, picked up the GE-6 and CE-2 together from the Trading Post. Both are dated 1981 and are mint with boxes, manuals, and an old red, white and blue Boss sticker. Got 'em cheap too, that was a good day.
The seller was a middle aged lady you wouldn't expect to own old Boss pedals but she'd owned them from new and obviously taken very good care of them. She also had a PH-1 in the same condition but someone had bought that earlier, the one that got away... Oh well, next time.

Hi Dr. Bob,
Thanks, yes gotta love the silver screw factor; the GE-6 is mint (see story in previous post), the BF-2 is in good condition, and the CS-1 is beat to hell but I love beaten pedals for the stories they could tell just as much as the mint ones.
Yes the CE-2 is pretty much as minty and fresh as they come (see story in previous post again).
The DODs are the FX66 Flashback Fuzz, FX96 Echo FX Analog Delay, FX12 Tuna, FX101 Grind 'Rectifying Overdrive'. Not paticularly impressed with the Fuzz or the Grind but the Echo FX is killer, it self oscillates like you wouldn't believe, very cool. Oh and I read somewhere the Tuna was the worst tuner pedal ever made so I had to own one; and the rumours were true, it doesn't seem to matter if you plug a guitar into it or not, it just aimlessly wanders unable to track a note to save itself.
BTW, I forgot to reply to your questions in a previous post at http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3353 so I just rectified that.
