I bought an SP-1 for 10 in Maidstone (UK) in 1988, according to the salesguy nobody wanted to buy it as it didn't do much - I used it at home on one of my keyboards for a few months and then put it in the cupboard.
20 years later I found it in my attic and took a look on the internet to find that it appears to be worth something. It is in very good condition with only a couple of very small bits of paint missing - it looks new but it isn't mint.
I don't have the box. The screw is silver.
Can anybody help me work out how much it is worth?
I think the UK market is more expensive than the rest of Europe or the US. Your SP-1 looks in very good nick so I wouldn't be surprised if you get 200-250 for it.
What's the serial number? Earlier pedals are usually more desirable and will fetch more.
7900 means that your SP-1 should have the momentary LED (where the LED only lights up when the pedal is pressed) and it will have the older clear switch instead of the newer black switch.
I think you might get around 250 for it but prices fluctuate so it's hard to say.
Yes, the light only comes on when the switch is down so you can't tell if it's on or off. The switch on the inside is transparent - so guess this means it's an old one.
