Hi there. I was just wonderiing if the DD-6 delay pedal was worth the extra cash. I was thinking about getting it but the DD-3 is not as expensive. Is the DD-6 really that much better? THanks
The stereo in on the DD-6 makes it worth it for me. It's got really long delay and a warp and rverse mode the DD-3 doesn't have. To me the extra features are worth the money but if you don't use them, the DD-3 might be a better option.
I have a DD-6 and like it a lot. I really like the tap tempo feature and the warp mode. The only negative is that I find the sound a little less "musical" compared to my dd-2. Not sure about the dd-3, don't have one.
I had a DD-6 for a month. I bought because of long delay and features but eventually ditched it because it sounded thin.
If you need stereo and long delay, it's a great box, really. If you DO NOT need the long delay, try and find a DD-2 or an early DD-3.
Again, everyone's ears and gear is different - so you may be better off trying them out side by side.
If you are buying them brand new, may as well get the DD-6; if used, happy pedal hunting and have fun trying them out at local music stores and or some good pawn shops.
