Depends on the definition of "complete". I got one of each pedal but I'm still short a few special versions like the Digital Space D version of the DC-3. |

| Yeah... I'm on my way too. There are "about 100" types to collect - I have over 30 of the more difficult ones to go. |

I've thought about building up a virtual collection. Just browse the web and find pictures of mint pedals and put them together on a gallery page. |

| Do we have a definitive list of all types? I'm thinking it would include all versions of each pedal? |

Didn't you allready do that?
Come to think of it, collecting is fun, but what if there's nothing more to collect? In this case, what if you searched the internet and crammy musicstores, checked out eBay everyday and just about scored all existing pedals to this date, not counting new pedals Boss still have to put out offcourse. You probably went almost bankrupt 3 times for laying down way too much cash for that rare-mint condition-including box and manual-made in Japan-with special 32 pin chip-pedal, drove your wife and kids nuts with your obsession for little knobs (I stole that from someone ) and there you sit on your sofa like a friggin' couchpotato zapping TV all day, drinking beer cause you just drowned out the better purpose in your life...and then your wife comes in and says "why don't you go play with your pedals?" making you look like she's lost her mind whilst drowning in selfsorrow, popping another beer
Sorry just a random thought about how collecting is fun 'till you've collected it all. Then what...... |

| I built up quite a large collection of 70-80 pedals a couple years ago. There were too many that I did not use though. I did not like the having thousands of dollars of unused gear sitting around. I sold off about half my collection. I kept nearly all of the older vintage stuff and mainly unloaded the newer ones I did not use. |

Yeah same here, went up to about 70 compacts but then I realized that I never ever would use most of them so I'm back to about 30 compacts, wich are mostly the old ones, but I've selected them on usability! |

Personlally i class the "complete" collection as a selection of the best pedals and the pedals id most often use for probably the rest of my life or rest of my guitar playing days!!!
Id like a nice selection of: Choruses; whitch im on the way to with the CE-2, CE-5 and CH-1 Phasers; whitch ive got the PH-1 at the moment, want a PH-3 and PH-1r tho Overdrives; whitch i only use my SD-1 but am gonna give my OD-3 a spin again soon, but want a Keeley Modded SD-1 Others; MT-2 for my bass (belive it or not) and a good delay, my DD-6 i just cant bond with any more. Id also like a DM-2 or DM-3 Analogue Delay for some variation.
But i class a complete collection as the selection of pedals that youd use the most/need the most in certain situations. Of Cource id say a few collectors pices like the SG-1 or a OD-1 or a few Silver Screws isnt a bad thing as well. But all in proportion for me. |
